Photographer’s Note: Christina and Mitch first met through a friend of a friend, and between their regular outings into the wilderness and spending time with their amazing friends and family, they’ve shared and developed a beautiful love that I was so blessed to capture on New Year’s Eve!
And as if the Southern California day wasn’t already full of joy, laughter, and great times, it began to rain sporadically throughout the day, which brought a gorgeous rainbow into our background! Christina got ready at her home in Camarillo while wearing champagne matching bridesmaids robes. All the girls wore blue sweetheart styled dresses that matched both Mitch and Christina’s favorite color!
The Morimune’s were married at the Sterling Hills Country Club in Camarillo, California in a Christian ceremony. Christina and Mitch chose to have a first look prior to the ceremony. This made for some really great photos of Mitch seeing his bride for the very first time in the rain. Once the ceremony was over, the sun had set; so we raced against the daylight and pulled out the off camera flashes to brighten up the scenes.
After being announced into the reception as Mr. & Mrs. for the very first time, the couple sat down at their sweetheart table and enjoyed a beautifully plated dinner provided by Sterling Hill’s very own catering. The tables were decorated with DIY decorations created by the bride and her bridesmaids. The couple cut their delicious Red Velvet cake baked by Nothing Bundt Cakes which they featured on their “Help Yourself Dessert Table.” The music was a perfect mix of hip hop, pop, and dance music and everyone in the pavilion danced the night away!
It was a perfect New Year’s Eve surrounded by friends and family as the newlyweds welcomed in the New Year! As a thank you to their guests for staying until the countdown, the couple surprised everyone with an In-N-Out truck 18-wheeler (I didn’t even know those existed!). It never gets better than free In-N-Out!
