Style Story: A Beastly Kind of Love
When a couple of Dallas wedding industry vendors, Denise Knitch and Elizabeth Fisher, got a phone call from Slomique Hawylo, a Los Angeles celebrity event planner, to create a tablescape for a morning TV news talk show; they decided to take it to the next level and run with the idea.
The TV segment was timed to coincide with that week’s movie opening of Disney’s “Beauty and The Beast.”
Slomique who is a regular on the David Tutera’s CELEBrations show, agreed to spend another day in Dallas and act as the bride in a “Beastly Kind of Love“ wedding photo shoot.
The White Sparrow Barn, voted one of America’s top ten wedding venues, was the setting of this nontraditional and decidedly edgy photo shoot. The custom yellow gown Slomique is wearing is by Nardos Design. And how perfect is that Beast? Our Beast, Will, is actually a member of the Fort Worth folk rock band Moonlight Native. Elizabeth Fisher, owner of Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe created the floral, ivy and bouquet designs. Note the book titles on that custom cake designed by The London Baker and all that vintage brass by Dixie Does Vintage!
