Meet the adorable Sara and Jon! These two tied the knot at The Blanton House in Danville, Indiana. Sara and Jon first met about 4 years ago at Purdue University. Sara was a graduate student and Jon was an electrician. Jon was installing a fire alarm in Sara’s building and they ended up meeting in the hallway, started talking, and ended up hitting it off. The rest is history!
Jon asked Sara for her hand in marriage at home while they were both snuggling on the couch watching television. Sara and Jon’s vision for the wedding was casual and elegant with green, grey, and ivory touches. The Blanton House was the perfect venue for their wedding! Not only is it a beautiful house that is located on a gorgeous landscape, but it was a close location to accomodate Jon’s family. They held their ceremony outside with the tree line as a backdrop while in the company of around 35 or so guests. It was important to both of them that they were able to incorporate their families. Their reception took place under a white tent that was decorated with chandeliers and ivory hydrangeas and roses. Even their cake was inspired by the floral decor, which was a beautiful display of delicious hydrangeas which are Sara’s favorite flower. It was gorgeous! They couldn’t have asked for better weather either-it was a sunny 80 degree day.
