Love Always Wins: Bradley & Amanda

Couple: Bradley & Amanda

Amanda and Bradley were married in Tahoma, CA near the shore of Lake Tahoe at Bradley’s family home. Their ceremony here was so special, and laid back at the same time. I really loved how the families all came together to help out with so many aspects of this day! At one point, I saw the ceremony arch being carried up the stairs and the toasting table getting set up – and I thought to myself how lucky these two are to have so many helpful and amazing people surrounding them!

I felt really lucky all day long to be chosen as their Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer. After their ceremony in Tahoma, we started our journey to the Galena Creek Fish Hatchery for their reception. Amanda, Brad and their wedding party were in a limo, and I trailed behind in my 4Runner so we could take some scenic portraits at the overlook in Incline. However…those plans had to change when the limo overheated and alternate travel plans had to be made for the whole wedding party. We made up for lost portrait time later during the reception, and luckily I had already taken some Tahoe photos on the pier near Bradley’s home and ceremony area. They handled it so gracefully and when we all reached the reception, it was definitely time to party!

Speaking of their reception, their details included influences from their favorite movies and video games. Star Wars and Super Mario Bros. anyone? It was also themed with UNR colors – go Wolf Pack! Wait until you see their Mario themed photobooth! And not to mention their Rice Krispie treat cupcake tower. Funny story – Amanda and Bradley graduated from UNR on the same day – but didn’t meet until SEVEN years later. Thankfully the universe brought these two together, huh!? After toasts, dancing, cake cutting and photobooth fun, the warm summer night ended with the sound of crickets chirping at Galena Creek park while family and friends cleaned up the venue.
