Couple Story: Bradford & Nicole
In college I was selling beverages off of a golf cart & Brad was at the course for a fundraising event. There was a celebrity at the hole and I asked Brad to take a picture for me. After the picture I ended up staying and talking to him & we hit it off 🙂
We were on vacation in Vegas & Brad proposed alone in our room.
I am an Ultrasound technologist and former NFL cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles. The groom is a golf pro
Our wedding was a black tie affair. The color was blush with gold accents. We had a church ceremony, rooftop cocktail hour overlooking the city of Philadelphia, and a ballroom reception. We had about 160 guests. We tried to keep our budget at $30,000 but spent somewhere closer to 50,000. We originally lived close to our venue but we moved to Denver, Colorado so most of our planning was actually long distance. 🙂
Best advice: “Don’t sweat the small stuff” thankfully we didn’t let anything bother us! In the morning I had an allergic reaction to the eye lash glue. Then after the ceremony we fell coming out of the church and the battery on the trolley died and we (bride and groom) had to take an uber. Thankfully we had multiple trolleys so the guests and bridal party still had transportation.
We had a full mass at the oldest Catholic Church in Philadelphia-Old Saint Joseph’s. Then we had a rooftop cocktail hour overlooking historic Philadelphia. Afterwards we had a ballroom reception with 160 of our closest friends and family. We had an open bar and the drinks were strong. 🙂 We had a full dance floor the entire night. It was a lot of fun.
My favorite moment was after the father daughter dance. The father daughter song was “Tiny dancer” by Elton John which is a 6 minute song. So we told the DJ to invite everyone onto the dance floor halfway through. My 2 year old flower girl (niece) walked out onto the dance floor and a circle formed around her and we all sang tiny dancer to her while she danced in the middle. It was the cutest moment.
We look forward to starting a family together! We got pregnant shortly after the ceremony. 🙂
We had an amazing honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We snorkeled, paddle boarded, watched whales from a boat, went to live performances, went kayaking, and of course relaxed by the beach. 🙂
