Couple: Chris & Julie
I have been waiting all year for Julie and Chris’ wedding, and when I heard about the forecasted rain I was so sad. I knew that no matter what, the two of them would make the best of the situation. And low and behold, it didn’t rain at all on their wedding day, and we had the most perfect soft light. Julie has been planning and working on the details for this wedding for a year, you can see all of the time and special touches that made their day so personal. I loved the custom hankerchiefs they made for their moms, the floral robes for all of the girls (even the flower girl), and Chris’ floral tie. Actually, I just love everything about their wedding.
The location was gorgeous, and Stacey from the Tangled Grapevine made the ceremony into a lush oasis. The ceremony was super sweet and Julie and Chris planted a tree together. I love seeing this new tradition. This year, instead of a sand ceremony, couples are choosing to plant a tree or plant together. It makes my hippie heart happy. Their vows were so adorable and most of the guests were tearing up during them. After the ceremony, we got to head up to the upper field and do some portraits. Julie also loved this path in the woods, and her sister in law decorated it with hand made streamers. The reception was great, and the couple danced the night away.
