Couple Story: Jeremy & Tina
Tina and Jeremy, both creatives living in NYC, fell in love with the Historic Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, NY because of all of its golden Era charm. Built in 1928, it was a stage to many a vaudeville act and through the years its stage has held many amazing shows, from traveling broadway musicals, to musicians, the many events that this theatre has housed just adds to the energy and character of the building. The plush grandeur of the architecture and design is stunning form the moment you walk into the entrance. Tina, a talented designer, was inspired by the rich history and jaw dropping details of the Theatre, and she styled every last detail of the day herself adding so much attention to creating an atmosphere and look that captured the 1920’s glamour that the building was built of. We were blown away with the beauty of this wedding. With nods to their favorite movies included in subtle details, the tablescapes were stunning and lush with vases of fresh from the garden florals. Tina’s personal style consists of a mostly black wardrobe and so a white dress was not something she was interested in. Not afraid to be herself and own her style, she went looking for a dress that was soft and romantic and ended up with a gorgeous navy gown. The lace details of her dress lend to the vintage feel of her wedding. She also chose to wear a white cape made of gossamer fabric and delicate beading which was a great nod to the 20’s era and a beautiful addition to her wedding look. The ornate chandeliers reflecting off of the intricately carved wood created such romantic lighting and lent to an intimate and elegant atmosphere as the two enjoyed their wedding day with family and friends.
Tina and Jeremy first started dating back in college. It was Thanksgiving and Tina was staying at the dorm for the holiday break. Jeremy was heading home for Thanksgiving dinner with his family and he couldn’t get Tina off of his mind. He said that he just kept thinking of her being alone for the holiday and so he ended up leaving his family meal midway through and heading back to school with a container full of thanksgiving dinner for the two of them. That was 11 years ago. Tina and Jeremy have faced many things together in that time. Their love has survived the trial of distance as the two found themselves on different sides of the world for 2 years of their relationship. On different continents and in different time zones, they still made each other a priority and they rearranged their lives so that they could always stay connected. Through those first years they relied heavily on video calls to stay in touch. No matter what else was going on in their lives, the two remained best friends. Eventually Tina and Jeremy found themselves living together again and they settled in New York City where they live with their 2 cats. Tina who works as a designer, and Jeremy who has a career at ROCKSTAR games couldn’t be happier to finally have a place that they can call home together; and after 11 years they are excited to be starting the next chapter of their life as husband and wife.
