Lovely Wedding Showers: Nathan & Jess

Couple: Nathan & Jess

Jess and Nathan had the most touching, personal day. From the location, to design, to flowers and food, this wedding was the perfect example of DIY done so right. The two stuck to a practical budget, opting to wed on a Friday and having a city historic park as their venue which yielded a unique setting for portraits. The groom owns a catering business with his brother so he spent his wedding morning cooking for all of his guests. The bride, a graphic designer by profession, designed their guest book, favors and invitations, and the decor was all done by family and friends. The bride rocked a non-traditional short dress and striking blue heels, and though it was a dark and stormy day, the two braved the weather and embraced the wind and rain with spirit. Another touching moment of the day was when the bride’s 12 year old daughter saw her mother and her groom walk towards her for the first time and simply burst into happy tears. – Melissa Cervantes Photography
