Spotlight on Bel Fiore: The Beautiful Flower of Bridal

I had the chance to pop into an awesome bridal salon in Cobb County over the weekend. After seeing a calendar event about an upcoming sample sale at Bel Fiore, I figured it would be good to view some wedding gowns up close and personal, because after all, who doesn’t love a pretty gown. Honestly, I’d get married every day of the week if I could wear a different dress each time. Okay, maybe that’s a stretch, but not too big of one.  After seeing the waves of white, ivory, and pale gold along the soothing taupe walls illuminated by intimate lighting, I was hooked. I saw a dress by Eden that was $199 begging for me to take it home. But, since I haven’t any upcoming nuptials, I reluctantly walked away figuring my sadness could be your joy. So I’m spreading the word about Bel Fiore and its treasure trove of wedding gowns with this Q & A as I spotlight the beautiful flower of bridal salons.

First, how long has your salon been in business and is there a meaning behind the name?

We have been in business in East Cobb for the past 11 years and serve brides all across the Southeast.  The name “Bel Fiore” is derived from the Italian for “beautiful flower”.

Could  you tell me some of the designers that your salon carries as well as the range of sizes.

We try to carry sample sizes that every bride will be able to try on!  Most of our sizes are 10, 12, and 14, and we have a good selection of plus sizes 18 to 30 as well.  We’ve carefully selected a few of the best worldwide designers to carry at our salon, including Essense of Australia, Stella York, Justin Alexander, Pronovias, and Lillian West.

I also remember you saying that most of your gowns are custom ordered, so about how long does it take for a bride to get her gown after placing her order.

Most of our gowns take 4 to 6 months to arrive once ordered because they are made individually once the customer places the order. We do offer Sample Sales, and we always keep a selection of off-the-rack gowns handy for the last minute bride!

Do have quick tips for brides, specifically plus size, to ensure the dress is the perfect fit for there day?

If you’re in between two sizes, order the larger one!  Most brides need alterations done in order to create the perfect fit, and you can always have a gown taken in–you can’t always let it out if it’s too small!  And that way, the seamstress can truly shape the dress to your body when she takes it in.

Do you have stores anywhere else in Georgia or out of the state, and how would a bride from out of state make an appointment?

We are a locally owned and operated small business and do not currently have other locations.  We have helped brides from all over the country, and we ship dresses as well!  Out of town brides can make an appointment by phone at 770-509-7185, or book directly online at

Finally, how often does Bel Fiore have sample sales and what can a bride expect when she comes to one?

Our annual Sample Sale is held every summer.  Brides can expect deep discounts on gently loved gowns that she can take home that day, without having to wait 4 months!  I sold one last weekend to a bride whose total for her wedding dress AND veil was $130!
